Business-to-Business (B2B) versus Business-to-Consumer (B2C) Retail Operations

B2B and B2C are acronyms that refer to the retailer's customer base: other businesses and individual consumers.

💼 Business-to-Business (B2B)

B2B retailers sell products to other businesses. B2B retailers are usually considered wholesale operations, where they sell bulk stock for a lower price to a B2C retailer. Some B2B retailers also sell B2C.

🛍️ Business-to-Consumer (B2C)

B2C retailers sell products directly to consumers, whether that is online or in store. B2C retailers often interact with B2B operations to get the supplies they need to run a consumer facing store.
